The touring park is laid out into four Pitch Areas: Tylluan Wen (Owl), Bwncath (Buzzard), Barcud Coch (Red Kite) and Creyr Glas (Heron) which you can view on the site plan or park pages.

Touring pitches are gravel hardstanding, accessed along tarmac roadways and paths. Approximately half of our pitches require parking 'nose' first depending which side your habitation door is on.

This ensures you get to make the most of the beautiful views on offer but still comply with our touring park site licence and your door does not clash with your neighbours Caravan or Motorhome.

Each Super Pitch on the Touring Park is fully serviced with:

State of the art modern toilet block with underfloor central heating throughout the touring park featuring:

• Sensor activated flushing toilets, hand basins & showers

• Laundrette including Washers, Dryers, Ironing Board & hand washing facilities
• Washing Up Room with secondary information point
• Dog wash room
• Elson point if using the 'blue' chemical

Within the grounds of the touring park there are dog walking areas, doggy pond and a seperate fenced off dog training area.

Leaving the Red Kite Touring Park there is a nice walk down into the town of Llanidloes, and the Severn Way skirts the touring park, please ask at reception for more information.

Situated below the pitches in the recreational area is our course fishing pool which is well stocked with carp to over 12lb, tench, bream and crucian carp.

Exclusively for Clywedog & Red Kite guests and just 100 metres from some pitches with a small parking area for the less able.

You must now bring your own landing nets and unhooking mats. These should be bone dry for at least 24 hours before being used.

Fishing pool rules:

• Gate must remain closed at all times
• No Swimming
• No Keepnets
• Barbless hooks only
• 1 rod per person
• Fishing from dawn till dusk
• Particles allowed if prepared correctly
• Anglers must be in possession of a valid Environment agency rod licence
• Management reserve the right to close the pool if necerssary

Although we do not have our own car available to rent,  a local depot M and I Vehicle Hire can deliver the vehicle of your choice to Red Kite Touring Park (During working hours 8am-5pm) at the beginning of your stay and collect it at the end of your holiday.
